closed: 'you don't believe in anything.' 'i believe in you.'

The past few days have been less than pleasant. Firstly, it seemed that winter had decided to take an extended stay here at the mansion: yes, he knew this place had odd seasons, but winter has never been one of his favorites, even at home. Enjolras has been uneasy, lately, spending most of his evenings holed up with Laertes and Sagramore in an effort to avoid nightmares.

Today, he is hoping that spending time with the one other person from Paris will do him good: and besides that, it has been some time since he has properly seen Grantaire. It would do to check in on him, he thinks. And so, he has gathered up books and his nearly ever-present notebook, intent on doing some writing as well. --As an afterthought, he grabs the unopened bottle of wine that Dionysus had given him, and proceeds to Grantaire's rooms, where he knocks at the door.

"Grantaire?"

"Alright." He is at a bit of a loss for what else to do here, but he does disentangle himself from Grantaire and head to the bed.

Grantaire follows, promptly sitting on the edge of the bed and leaning back on his hands. "I still do plan to find a sofa, though."

[untamedantinous]

"Well, one may appear once this season is done with. I have noticed my rooms shifting about gradually -- or I did, before the last month."

[futaille]

He leans against Enjolras comfortably. "Yes, but it does seem so entertaining to push a sofa down the hallway."

[untamedantinous]

"It is not as entertaining as it seems, I assure you."

[futaille]

"Not at first glance, perhaps, but if I could find a couple pairs of shoes with wheels on them..."

[untamedantinous]

"....That seems ...ill-advised."

[futaille]

"Ill-advised? Me?"

[untamedantinous]

"Mm, yes, you generally come up with brilliant plans. My mistake."

[futaille]

"So kind of you to recognize it."

[untamedantinous]

He just rolls his eyes and nudges Grantaire's shoulder gently.

[futaille]

He nudges back, then, laughing a little.

[untamedantinous]

"Please do not put wheeled shoes on a couch."

[futaille]

"I will try to remember to avoid it."

[untamedantinous]

"Thank you."

[futaille]

He grins, because that was in no way confirmation that he would avoid it, even if he did remember. "You're most welcome."

[untamedantinous]

He just gives Grantaire a wary look. "I will, however, be quite amused if a couch just happens to appear in your rooms without having traveled by wheels."

[futaille]

"That would be entertaining. And probably most deserved if it appeared just as I was opening the door with a couch that had traveled by wheels."

[untamedantinous]

"Indeed." He, at least, is amused with himself.

[futaille]

"But then I would have two couches, so I would, in fact, be extremely fortunate."

[untamedantinous]

"Would you even be able to fit two couches in here?"

[futaille]

"If I were determined enough, certainly."

[untamedantinous]

"I see." He's going to take the opportunity to sprawl out on the bed a little.

[futaille]

He smiles. "Comfortable enough?"

[untamedantinous]

“Yes. Are you?” It feels silly to be asking this of Grantaire in his own rooms; but he is a little uncertain of what to do here.
