The past few days have been less than pleasant. Firstly, it seemed that winter had decided to take an extended stay here at the mansion: yes, he knew this place had odd seasons, but winter has never been one of his favorites, even at home. Enjolras has been uneasy, lately, spending most of his evenings holed up with Laertes and Sagramore in an effort to avoid nightmares.

Today, he is hoping that spending time with the one other person from Paris will do him good: and besides that, it has been some time since he has properly seen Grantaire. It would do to check in on him, he thinks. And so, he has gathered up books and his nearly ever-present notebook, intent on doing some writing as well. --As an afterthought, he grabs the unopened bottle of wine that Dionysus had given him, and proceeds to Grantaire's rooms, where he knocks at the door.

"Grantaire?"

"What point? I do not think I heard one." He raises an eyebrow.

"My point that you can be sweet from time to time."

[untamedantinous]

"Tch." He crosses his arms across his chest, but his point is belied by the fact that he's still firmly snuggled up against Grantaire.

He laughs a little and kisses Enjolras's cheek.

Enjolras turns once he's moved back to pull him into a more proper kiss, smiling softly.

[futaille]

Oh, well then. He'll quite happily return it, in that case.

[untamedantinous]

Good. He had hoped there would be no complaints.

[futaille]

There are many things Grantaire is apt to complain about, but kisses from Enjolras are very much never going to be one of them. He smiles a bit around the kiss.

Lucien pulls back eventually, settling himself more comfortably against Grantaire. "I suppose you shall say that was sweet, too. I will not complain."

[futaille]

He leans quite happily back against Enjolras. "I will, in fact, say so. And add that your not complaining is also sweet."

[untamedantinous]

He just makes a bit of a grumbling noise and tentatively settles an arm over Grantaire's shoulders.

[futaille]

He takes the opportunity to nestle about as close to Enjolras as possible given the two-chairs seating arrangement, smothering a smile at the lack of real objection that time.

[untamedantinous]

"What?" The question is almost lazy.

[futaille]

"Nothing. Just comfortable."

[untamedantinous]

"Very well." He is just going to contentedly snuggle for a while, in that case.

[futaille]

That makes two of them. "I'm glad you came to visit."

[untamedantinous]

"I will admit Sagramore was a partial influence on my decision." But he nuzzles close, regardless. "--Also I wanted to check in."

[futaille]

"Should I ask how Sagramore influenced it?"

[untamedantinous]

"He thinks I should be kinder to you." Among other things. But he's not going to discuss those just yet.

[futaille]

He huffs out something close to a laugh. "Don't listen to him; you're fine."

[untamedantinous]

"It is alright, he was quite drunk."

[futaille]

"All right, then. I will say officially, though, that I have no complaints." He pauses. "Well, no complaints on that particular score, I can always find complaints."

[untamedantinous]

"I would hope you have no complaints of the current arrangement."

[futaille]

He laughs a little. "Wouldn't dream of it."

[untamedantinous]

There's a small smile, and he leans to press a tentative kiss to Grantaire's cheek. "Good."
