If he had more of his friends here, certainly he would be engaged in a loud conversation with them; just ask anyone who saw them all during the brief time Combeferre and Courfeyrac visited. As it stands, however, there is only Grantaire and himself, and he knows Grantaire will happily go on for ages about anything, so much so that it is hard to get a word in edgewise. Therefore Enjolras is content to let it be, for now, and to try and foster the small sense of community that he had hoped this gathering might bring.
