Galahad came from a sense of loyalty towards Grantaire above everything else, but this environment is perfectly designed to make him anxious and overstimulated. As soon as he sees Lan Wangji he goes to his table and sits there; the overlapping conversation is already wearing at him. Lan Wangji can be trusted not to speak unnecessarily. At the moment Galahad is quite grateful for it.
