deux: it must be done

Enjolras has not held a musket since the barricades. However, there's no time like the present. Through trial and error and various annoyed thoughts directed to the closet in his rooms, he has found one that will suffice. It feels ...strange, to have one in his hands again, to know that not so long ago he had held one and killed more than once with it. But he is pushing aside any lingering apprehensions he may have and heading outside to the shooting range some helpful person had set up in the recent past. Perhaps no one will bother him here, he hopes, it is fairly far afield; and the whole purpose he has will make it difficult to have any conversations.

The slight tension in his shoulders may belie his earlier anxiety, but it has not affected his aim as of yet. Should anyone follow the sounds of gunfire, they will find Enjolras as well, loading, firing, and reloading his musket with some determination.

"Oh, I know nothing about christianity," Magnus laughs. "I'd leave that one to other people."

"As I said," with a slight smile. "Monsieur Aziraphale would likely be useful, in this case. I do not think I can remember a single bit of catechism."

"Oh yeah, I wasn't expecting you to do it," Magnus says. "Just thinking out loud about how to fix some problems."

"Well, we've got a decent bit to start with, I think."

[summerdude]

"Yeah!" Magnus agrees. "It's good to have a starting place."

[untamedantinous]

"Well, expect a meeting of some kind soon enough, I should think. Once I find a place large enough for all of us."

[summerdude]

"I can help," Magnus says. "Surely there's an atrium or, like, auditorium or something tucked away somewhere."

[untamedantinous]

"Oh, I don't know if we would need anything so big as all that, only perhaps a ballroom or something of the like. At home we made do with the back room of a cafe."

[summerdude]

"Oh, that's easy, I practice swordplay in what I assume is a ballroom a couple times a week."

[untamedantinous]

"Ah! Well then, point me towards it some time, and I shall go see how it looks."

[summerdude]

"It's on the opposite side from the kitchen," Magnus says. "Down a half-flight of stairs. Second door... yeah, I'll just take you there sometime."

[untamedantinous]

“That seems best,” with some amusement. “I would not be surprised if the hallways in this place decided to move of their own accord.”

[summerdude]

"Cool," Magnus says. "Find me later? I'll show you. Good luck with your shooting, man."

[untamedantinous]

“Thank you,” he replies with a nod. “Until then, I suppose.”
