Laertes is fast, but more than that, he has stamina. After he rounds one of the Mansion's many improbable corners, he slows to the kind of ground-eating stride that he could keep up for an hour if he had to--looking back to make sure that Enjolras is following, pouring on speed when Enjolras seems to be catching up.
